Fighting Dry Skin with Honey and Petals

Honey and Petals

When I tell you I fight the dry skin demon on the regular, it’s no joke. Let me introduce you to Honey and Petals, it’s a small business that is owned by Krissy.

Krissy wanted to create products that were great for people who have sensitive skin and skin care concerns such as eczema and psoriasis.

I fell in love months ago when I did my first order of the Whipped Shea Butter and Plush Oil. After that, I was hooked…

Here’s why…

The ingredients

Argan Oil

Moroccan argan oil is rich in omega-6 fatty acids, vitamins A & E, antioxidants, and it’s also known to ease inflammation.

Avocado Oil

Cold pressed avocado oil is an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A, D, and E. It helps not only to moisturize and retain water in the skin.

Safflower Oil

Safflower oil is a botanical emollient used to prevent dryness and promote elasticity.

Sea Buckthorn Oil

Known as the oil of all oils. It gets its rich warm color from sea buckthorn berries. It’s high in oleic acid, which makes it great for dry and irritated skin.

Shea Butter

Shea butter comes from the nut of the karite shea tree that is indigenous to Africa and is high in vitamin A. The solid buttery cream helps heal and repair skin and helps soothe problematic skin.

Tsubaki Oil

Pressed from the seeds of the Camellia japonica flower, tsubaki oil (pronounced soo-bock-ee) is rich in oleic acid and vitamins A, B, D and E and absorbs quickly into skin.

Olive Oil

Although olive oil is a staple in our pantries it’s been a skincare staple for ages. Cold pressed olive oil is not only a vitamin rich oil but it helps fight free-radicals and calm & soothe dry itchy irritated skin.

They are all healthy for your skin!

The quality is amazing, my skin does not feel dry after using either product. It’s annoying when you put on a moisturizer and then minutes later your skin feels the same. When I rock Honey and Petals my skin is moisturized for hours, especially when I use the Whipped Shea Butter which is my favorite for the Winter season.

It is not greasy and my skin just loves it, it feels soft and nourished, yet protected. Plus I don’t have to worry about irritation.

The Whipped Shea Butter looks like you literally want to eat it! My coworkers were like

This smells amazing! Can I eat it? It looks so yummy!

It does literally look like whipped cream and it’s soft.

Honey and Petals Whipped Shea Butter

The Plush oil is moisturizing I use it to help layer with the Whipped Shea Butter. The Plush oil is also great for the Summer season when you want light moisture and a beautiful glow.

I have 4 scents and I love the names – they all smell amazing and Krissy is always adding new scents. (Note: you can also get unscented)
