I am a nail junkie I love all types of nails natural, acrylic, gel whatever. Nails are just a great way to look great with low costs. While browsing the beauty aisle at the drugstore one day I saw that Wet n Wild had a polish system I have not seen before…1 Step Wonder Gel (bonus it was on sale) so I had to give it a try!
One of my staple colors that I normally wear is white or pale pink so I decided to try Pale in Comparison, which is a pale pink shade that is closer to white polish.
Marketed as a 1 step gel system, you don’t need a light to cure or a top coat.
The first gel formula that doesn’t require a top coat and cures without a lamp, this nail color breakthrough is about to become your nail superhero. Provides up to 2 weeks of color and shine in 1 easy step. 3-free! No formaldehyde, toluene or phthalates! ~ Wet n Wild
Needless to say, I was hyped to give this a try, sometimes gel polish is a pain to take off and not having to worry about removal I was all about that!
The applicator on the 1 Step Wonder Gel polish has a rounded brush making it easy to apply. (bonus!)
The formula is not too creamy which means you don’t get that hard to apply process. (another bonus!)
Now for me at the time, the state of my nails were that they were flimsy and not strong. I had just removed my acrylic nails and they were not at their best.
The reason I am sharing this with you is because I think that played a huge role in the longevity of wear I experienced with this product.
On about day two of wearing this polish, I had a major chip, then after that, it was like a ripple effect with the rest of my nails.
I did use a top coat because waiting for polish to dry makes me anxious.
It did take 3 coats of polish to reach full opacity of color with no streaky spots.
I definitely will be trying this system out again when my nails are much stronger.
Overall, I think you should give this polish system a chance as other people have a had great experiences with the formula.
Please note that this is not equivalent to a gel polish that uses a light. It is just an alternative.
This polish retails for a reasonable price of approximately $5!
Speaking of nail polish which 1 Step Gel Polish System is your go to?
